Official presence
New York hosts the Seychelles Permanent Mission to the United Nations together with the Embassy to the United States, the country's only resident mission in the Americas. It is the consular contact for the whole US community. Details in the consulates guide.

What the US community lacks in numbers it holds in reach. Seselwa in America work in medicine, finance, aviation, academia and tech, exactly the skills the islands say they are short of. The registry asks what you would lend home, because a diaspora this capable should be findable when Seychelles needs it.
Distance and the culture
