Methodology. The global figure of 36,788 emigrants (37.4% of the population) is UN DESA 2020 stock data. Hub rankings and city counts come from national censuses, London first, Perth second, Montreal third with about 740 at Canada's 2016 census, and about 2,500 Seychelles-born at Australia's 2016 census. Where no reliable figure exists we say so instead of inventing one. The live "registered here" counts are our own registry, which is why joining it genuinely improves the map.
